#0176 Operations (Logistics) Coordinator – Mangere

Our client operates a niche global courier service with their Headquarters based in USA delivering urgent medical supplies and drugs to all parts of the globe.

The purpose of this position is to work proactively as a member of the operations team providing 24/7 customer driven service which includes:

  • Collecting and delivering shipments within the Auckland area including the Waikato, B.O.P areas from time to time.
  • Processing job orders and organising collection and delivery of customer shipments, liaising with customers, agents, carriers and other Courier offices around the globe.
  • Preparing & executing customer shipments for air export and import, utilising the company’s shipment processing systems you are required to work across multiple digital platforms to complete all regulatory clearances, monitor shipments in transit and initiate effective action as deemed necessary in which to rectify issues.

Below are essential (must have) requirements in which to apply:

  • Full drivers licence
  • N.Z Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Nimble in working across multiple digital platforms, systems savvy and capable of working several tasks simultaneously.
  • Efficient time management
  • Attention to detail.
  • Resilient and capable of working to tight deadlines under urgency.
  • A calm and mature manner when dealing with customers demanding requests.
  • Proven problem solving skills
  • Must be able to lift and handle heavy packages of up to 35 kilos.
  • Have the ability to work autonomously during weekends and public holidays as required. Be on call and perform on call duties as rostered. Attend call-outs as necessary.
  • A good working knowledge of MS Office:  Outlook, Word & Excel

On the job training is provided to those who apply themselves with the opportunity of gaining NZ Customs UUI within 24 months of employment to be able to perform (high value) Customs entries and including DG endorsement.  

Hours of work are: 11am – 7pm, Monday – Friday, with one Saturday morning rostered on in every 3rd week.

Southern Cross Health Insurance with a starting base salary of commensurate with a junior to intermediate level operator.

This is a very varied and interesting role offering a mixture of administration and operational hands on tasks, including driving around the greater Auckland region delivering and picking up shipments.
